"The ever scorned first full length release which until now has been unlistenable to myself. On the 12th year of it's existence and close to it's actual release thereof I have finally taken this hated yet personally poignant relic to a point where I can physically listen to it. The original release was an amalgamation of want for releasing on a specific date and lack of patience. Not a regret but a lesson... One which was not adhered to in certain thralls of the same cyclic thinking and ebb of not so much will but desire to appease the void with my offering.

So at last it stands still imperfect as it was meant to be with the last emblem of youth shining through. A loving yet baneful memory of old where energies which burned a true black light ran amok through my fingers and thoughts, without care for past, present or future but a brooding desire to transcend the void.." Il est facile de se sentir dépassé par cette œuvre et c'est tout à fait normal : Bekëth Nexëhmü nous fait traverser le blizzard avec un mur de sons infranchissables ; le chant y est saturé, inhospitalier. De Svarta Riterna est à la fois mélancolique, glacial, grandiose : c'est un maelström de black metal atmosphérique qui fait valser onirisme et pur cauchemar. Late 90's BM worship, but it's also a lil more than that. This album takes the best elements from the scene it's inspired by and mostly avoids the worst of it; the song-writing is well-written, it's performed with passion and fun, and the production is raw but isn't lo-fi. (i.e. it doesn't obfuscate and/or suckass). Tl;dr It's safe but high quality BM. Recommended. Rabbit

Arkhtinn is one of the best acts in the world of atmospheric black metal, and this album was the thing that got me hooked. It reminds me of other space themed bands like Mare Cognitum and Darkspace. honeycombguy
